The City of Baker School System is seeking preferably a certified Art Teacher.

Education Level:          Bachelor's Degree or higher

Certification:                Valid Teaching Certificate Preferred

Pay Grade:                  Hourly Rate ($40 per hour)

 

Primary Function: To provide instruction for students that enables them to learn and achieve to the maximum of their abilities

 

Essential Duties:

  • Utilizes high quality instructional materials and resources
  • Reviews latest resource guides on effective instructional best practices
  • Provides input into the coordination of classroom activities
  • Communicates regularly with parents, students, and colleagues via technology
  • Provides additional assistance to parents and students to facilitate academic success
  • Provides input into the planning and development of the program.
  • Assists in the reinforcement of specific skills
  • Monitors assignments
  • Creates or modifies instructional materials
  • Manages classroom behavior
  • Participates in student recruiting sessions and program marketing
  • Maintains students records and up-to-date data
  • Demonstrates all professional traits found in the standard CoBSS job description
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
