Classified Position: Custodian

Rate of Pay:   $15.70 (Step 1) Classified Salary Schedule 22-23

Hours:          8 hour day

Start Date:    July 1, 2022

The custodian works under the direct supervision of the Building Principal.  This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the school facility to ensure a clean, safe and sanitary environment.  Additional days may be assigned as needed by supervisor.

 Minimum Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent and valid Oregon driver’s license.
2. Ability to follow directions and carry out assigned tasks.
3. Experience in building upkeep and maintenance.
4. Competent in the use of equipment and tools used in facility maintenance.
5. Ability to perform heavy manual labor.

1. Requires prolonged sitting.
2. Requires physical exertion to manually move, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
3. Requires stooping, kneeling, bending, turning, reaching, climbing and balancing.
4. Extensive travel required.
5. Must work indoors and outdoors during the school year.
6. Must work in noisy and crowded environments, with numerous interruptions.
7. Must work in and around dust, fumes, and odors.
