Job Description

20 hour per week position to primarily work with high school students, and to develop relationships with middle school students to bridge counseling services for students moving up to high school.
Work collaboratively with the Health & Wellness Director, teachers and Deans.
Provide a range of services to students and their families that include:
Short term individual and group counseling, primarily for middle school and high school students
Crisis intervention, as needed, school wide (K-12)
Referrals to outpatient services as needed
Participate in developing and facilitating student groups, classes and presentations that address social emotional development. This may also include partnering with teachers to join classes or to provide resources and materials.
Develop and facilitate professional development for staff, in addition to providing staff with resources.
Consultations and meetings with staff, teachers and parents.
Attend team meetings, IEP meetings and other meetings as needed.
Can provide preliminary diagnoses, interpret student records and diagnostic data, write reports as needed, and maintain documentation / statistics.
Familiarity working outside agencies & networks.
Ability to review admission packets and provide advice and counsel.

  • Job Requirements

    • Requirement: Licensed Counselor in the state of Massachusetts with experience working with adolescents and their families from a Christian perspective.
