Description:  The Bedford School District is seeking a full time school psychologist to deliver student counseling and conduct assessments at the Ross A. Lurgio Middle School. This position is available in August 2022 for 2022-23 school year. 

Job Summary:  This school psychologist position fills two main roles: counseling and assessment. The successful candidate must be able to deliver effective counseling services to students with behavioral challenges who are identified with special needs and are on individualized education plans. The successful candidate must also be able to administer psychological, intellectual, and academic evaluations to students identified with or suspected of having disabilities. These evaluations must result in comprehensive written reports and verbal presentation detailing outcomes and recommendations. The school psychologist serves as a collaborative member of the IEP team assisting with interpretation of independent evaluations, determinations of special education eligibility and recommendations for appropriate special education programming. Consultation with teachers and administrators regarding students with disabilities is also part of the role responsibilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills, good organization/time management skills, and knowledge of special education procedure are fundamental.

Qualifications: NH Certification as a School Psychologist (0046),
