Job Description
Title: K-12 Certificated Teacher
Reports To: K-12 Principal
Qualifications:
• Eligible for Washington State Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsements applicable to the position.

Performance Responsibilities:
1.The teacher will demonstrate a willingness to work with and relate to students, parents, staff, and community in a professional, cooperative, and congenial manner.
2.The teacher will contribute to decision making and collaboration with administrators, staff members, parents, and community in a constructive manner.
3.The teacher will assist in the assessing and design instruction for a classroom of diverse learners (ESL, Highly Capable, Learning Disabled, etc.) in collaboration with appropriate specialists.
4.The teacher will have a system of documenting student progress, activities, and outcomes.
5.The teacher will maintain professional competence through in-service education, coursework and professional growth activities. The teacher will continuously pursue professional development to stay updated on current research and educational strategies in subject matter area.
6.The teacher will continually strive to stay up to date and have a basic knowledge of the intent and content of current national guidelines and the components of research based successful schools.
7.The teacher will implement age appropriate teaching methods and state curriculum framework to comply with Washington State Common Core requirements and will work to incorporate SBAC Standard’s concepts into his/her curriculum.
8.The teacher will create a program and classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth.
9.The teacher will promote and integrate the components of our school’s shared vision and mission statement into his/her professional day, his/her classroom, his/her curriculum, and maintain a basis knowledge of its content.
10.Be involved in the development, implementation and evaluation of the school improvement plan.
11. The teacher will present him/herself and represent him/herself in a professional manner to our students, fellow staff, and community while serving in a school related capacity.
