Job Description

Saint Mary School is seeking a Technology Director to design, coordinate and showcase innovative ways to complement student learning through the use of technology. While maintaining computer systems by keeping them updated, secure and always ready, this team member will work with faculty, staff and students integrating, advising and teaching technology related subjects.

Required Skills:
Technical knowledge in the fields of Computer Science
Experience in performing diagnostic testing, repair, installation, upgrading, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on Windows, Chromebooks, Mac and/or android devices
Strong work ethic, good time management skills and self-driven attitude
Excellent interpersonal skills and written and oral communications skills


Preferred Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Technology, Education, or STEM related field
A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience
Understanding of 3D Printing technologies
Understanding of programming languages
A minimum of 3 years of Computer Systems Administration
Experience with STEM education
Experience with Arduino, Makey-Makey, Sphero, Lego WeDo or similar technologies


Job duties may include:
Supporting teachers and students with integrating technology into the curriculum
Ensuring that the computer systems are kept working in an efficient and secure manner including hardware maintenance, software updates, network troubleshooting, network monitoring and software as a service subscriptions
Designing, adopting, implementing and coordinating STEM activities into the school and curriculum
Researching and purchasing of new hardware and software that promotes innovation in learning
Maintains, updates, secures and performs system administration tasks in all computer systems including:
School Website.
Student Information System
Email account creation using Office 365 and Google for Education.
Managing Windows server environment.
Network administration including Firewall, Switches and Phone systems.
Teaches Middle School Computer Science classes.
Leads school-wide MakerSpace activities that includes the use of:
3D Printers
Lego Robotics
Programming Drones
Podcasting and Video Editing
Promoting Computer Science and STEM related subjects by leading STEM Days, Hour of Code and other events during the school year
